Not bad

Waze is more than just a turn by turn navigation system with a ton of social features.

Waze, available on both iOS and Android, has made its way into the Blackberry App World. The application installs quickly but after launch, you'll soon find out that this app is very different from its other iterations. The first thing that you have to do is log in with your Waze account or make a new account. Strangely, there's no way to reset your password from the app if you've forgotten it.

When initializing Waze, you'll have to confirm to download your local language pack for voice prompts. This process takes more time than it should but can be attributed to the limitations of the Blackberry OS. Performance of the app is disappointing. Waze had trouble loading textures and finding our location, even if we received full 3G reception.

Thankfully, some of the features that make Waze great are in this version for Blackberry. There are still social features so you can chat with other drivers, when you're pulled over of course. You still get points for driving and reporting conditions on the road. The app will give you alerts about police, speed cameras, and traffic accidents. These are very useful but depend on users submitting reports.

Overall, the Blackberry version of Waze is a disappointment. Its iOS and Android counterparts have a much better interface and actually work well.
